Field Equipment
This Figure is the Antenna and Dog House from the Amoco Research crew that COCORP used in 1990 for the Montana 10, 11, and North Dakota Line 1 surveys. The Antenna needed to be very large to reach the SGR Recording Boxes that were spread over a distance of 25 km. The Antenna was mounted on the back of a pick-up truck and was held up with compressed air. The Dog House would then download the recording parameters to the SGR boxes, and then would trigger the SGR boxes to begin recording.
This Figure is a SGR Recorder from the Amoco Research crew that COCORP used in 1990 for the Montana 10, 11, and North Dakota Line 1 surveys. Each of these boxes would receive it's recording parameters from the Dog House and would handle the recording of 2 channels for a day. At the end of the day these boxes were loaded into a truck and returned to a base camp. At the base camp the truck was plugged into a recording system and all of the data was uploaded for further field processing.
This Figure is the inside of the Recording Truck from the Amoco Research crew that COCORP used in 1990 for the Montana 10, 11, and North Dakota Line 1 surveys. In this picture the Observer is making sure all of the SGR Recorders are able to receive the signal that the Recording truck is sending to begin recording.
This Figure is the Vibrators of the Amoco Research crew that COCORP used in 1990 for the Montana 10, 11, and North Dakota Line 1 surveys. In this survery COCORP used a total of 8 of these Vibrators.
